This is super silly. You’ve been warned.
Way back when DC comics did this whole event called 52, written mainly by Grant Morrison. Morrison is my fave comics writer guy of all time. But he can also disappear up his own rear end for days at a time when he decides to get metaphysical.
So a while thing in the series is that Batman and Robin go to the mystical city of Nanda Parbat and Robin learns to be Zen using a whole Zen koan about a goose in a bottle (there is no goose! There is no bottle! You are free!) and the whole thing just struck me as, well, super dumb.
And not very Robin, especially in this incarnation of the character, overachiever Tim Drake.
So, this. I still think of it almost a decade later. I laugh out loud at it. I crack me up. I know that’s not cool, but I do.
